Waterline decals or LIE

Take a look at any product that has a body of water in the scene: beaches, rivers, sewers, waterways -- the solid mass around it: the sand, rocks, walls are completely dry. A waterway should have a wet seam aboove the waterline, maybe some grunge, sand should look wet where the ocean rushes over it etc.

Could be done in several ways, decal would give the most versatility and scaling options, LIE is doable, too, but not easy to apply.

  • That's built into the shaders with UltraScenery. They get lighter and less glossy 2.5cm above Y=0. Regards, Richard.
  • But can I apply those shaders to any old surface?
