Writing on sword product : Fantasy or real language ?

Hello,

Just to make sure, does anybody knows if the writing on this sword from Weapon Collection for G3 and G8 Male(s) is Fantasy writing ? I would like to avoid to have writings with random real-life meanings on Fantasy renders :

(I know it's not Chinese, Japanese or similar written languages, but I don't know every written language...)

I don't think it's a real language. Some of the letters look a little Arabic-inspired and perhaps selected/arranged to fit in with the shape of the gold plating. However, there is also the ichthys ("Jesus fish") symbol in the middle - so if you wanted to avoid any possible religious association then perhaps select one of the other ones?

I didn't think of this, I noticed the letters looked a bit Arabic, but not really either. Thanks  for your help !

I honestly didn't even think of that as writing. I'm pretty knowledgable about languages and writing systems, and that doesn't look like anything I've seen. It's got traces of Arabic, Chinese and a couple other things, but I'm pretty sure it's just gobbledygook.

I can confirm that they are not oracle bone inscriptions from my country. It's nice to learn the word "gobbledygook". Usually we call such a thing " 鬼畫符 " ~~

Hmmmm... Google Translate tells me that  鬼畫符 means "ghost talisman."  Interesting what idioms other languages have for everyday concepts.

Hah... sometimes Google cannot 100% correctly translate some idioms / slang esp. Chinese. In general, 鬼畫符 / 鬼画符 means some handwriting or drawing is from no language, and only ghost can recognize... but also a metaphor of three meanings in different context: 1) It's hard to tell what the writings are or mean; 2) poor calligraphy or inscription; 3) something that are deliberately designed to cheat or deceive people...

If it is any existing script at all, then it may be Arabic, Urdu or another script similar to Arabic. Arabic script can be wonderfully stylised; sometimes you don't even realise at first glance that a supposed image is actually a text. However, I am illiterate in all of these scripts, so unfortunately I can't be of any specific help.

If they are really hieroglyph, they could be from ancient Egypt, Maya, Aztec, etc. dunno... but not oracle bone inscriptions, Naxi Dongba or nuosu bburma (all from China). As for Arabic... not sure but Arabic is phonetic script, not like Chinese or ancient Egyptian (ideogram). That's why there was no hieroglyph in ancient Arabia.. After Arabian conquered Egypt, they turned ancient Egyptian in to Masri and Modern Standard Arabic...

We better have the PA come to explain what they're...
