Any tattoo like this usable on G8F ?

The picture comes from a V4 product from another 3D website.

But my question is : is there this kind of fantasy tattoo, somewhere, for G8F ? All I can find are nice but very realistic themed tattoos like the Japanese colored ones, or I don't know, skulls and dreamcatchers...I loved that the old tattoos like those ones looked a bit like something you would find on a painting by Luis Royo...

    Hello,

I don't have all of them in mind, but maybe you'll find something in the tattoos shared by SirMaverick on Renderosity (Warning: NSFW pictures):

if you own that product you can use the tattoo textures rather easily on any other figure using the Layed Image Editor (LIE) you just need to locate the texture folder and grab the tattoo from there. Positioning might be a bit more challenging, so maybe a diversion via an image manip app (photoshop/gimp) helps to that

  • Thanks ! They look good, I like the celtic wolf one and got it a while ago, but most look pretty "modern" (as opposed to Fantasy style) unfortunately, and a bit inconsistent between each others, which is normal since they are freebies. I guess no one does the stuff they used to do for V4 anymore :(

Hey, that's seems a great idea actually. I never did that before, but that could be a reason to start :)

the biggest challenge might be if the textures come directly with the skin, I don't know that, since I don't own that one, and I'm not sure how the earlier generations handled this sort of thing. But as long as they are in a separate texture file there should be a way to make it work.

I don't really remember, I will download the product and look how it is done. Thanks for the help !

Edit : they do come with skin texture :( But maybe I can remove the skin with GIMP as the colors (skin and tattoos) are really different..

if the tattoes are basically black you can separate them in Gimp by turing it into greyscale, increase the contrast and then go to separate for only black and white, then you can change colour to translucency for the white part and have the tattoo separately, save as png because the LIE now can handle tranlucency and it's easier than alpha mask

  • Thanks again :)
