Maybe it will be launched as a product in some days...

I do like the modular catwalk. I've been looking for a set that has one I could use in others locations. I wonder if I could replace that solid metal texture easily.

I think I got these in that easter egg free item series.

So, now that Polaris Hangar dropped - is it missing practically everything for you guys too? The missing stuff from /data is a mile long, and there are chunks not available, whole sections of wall that didn't load, and grey boxes for quite a few items. (edit: might have something to do with not having the corridor. Lots of requirements stacked on each other with this.)

it does list the corridor as required

  • Lists the Corridor as required and says in the page copy "The model is an addition to the product Polaris Corridor."

I didn't buy it today because I didn't even notice it was there, because it's only listed on the Daz+ page and the chronological new-items listing at the bottom of /shop/, neither of which I check religiously (I go to Lightning Deals on the off-chance, and then the day's feature-sale page, and that's that), so I won't have a field report until I go back and buy it tomorrow :P But this does really reinforce my thinking that the three Polaris sets should have been one set.

(Mind you, I'm a known grouch on this and have basically stopped buying OOT hairs because of their habit of making you pay almost the same amount over again to get the rest of the hair colors that should have been in the main pack ... and I digress, anyway.)

Wow. What a massive construction kit when all Polaris are owned.

I just watered my last few dollars again, but they still haven't grown since last watering. Am I doing something wrong?

  • As said its dropped.

into cart / into runtime (yes I know it shows my age or how long I have been doing this)

I like it and the style fits in well with my other stuff.

dont like the colour, that will have to go.

also the layout wastes a lot of space , with pipes in the way and cat walks going nowhere.

I feel a kitbase coming on

Unfortunately, I agree on the color. It's definitely different, yet not for me.

Personally, I really love a high contrast palette like orange with black and white accents black and white with any bright accent color for an expeditionary or industrial style and may just attempt to alter the blue elements if I ever buy the series.

That's why they made PD Howler! :)

I never let colors put me off. DIM takes me to the folder, PD Howler let's me make anything any color I want - along with editing any other aspect of the shader. But then again, retexturing models is what got me into 3D in the first place, so maybe it's just me.

  • I think the Solaris Corridor and series also by Petipet are perfect examples of a similar palette in a different style. I do genuinely love their work and made one of my first animations in those corridors.

  • Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I don't like it. If I didn't see something in it I would have not parted with money. If didn't buy something because I was unhappy about one small aspect. I would have a lot more money in my bank and a smaller runtime. What I am saying is, we are all different and look for and want different things.
  • Yeah, honestly, the Polaris series has great elements. I love the exposed pipe design and will probably collect it down the road.

And you're right. The the strong color may be right up other users' alleys. I do hope so, anyway.
