Whats the overall concept on how all this works?

First off I know nothing about animation.

But I stumbled on this site because I’m a programmer and I was looking to program some characters for a project I’m working on.

I downloaded Daz3d and purchased about $100 in models just to get a feel for it.

I’m wondering if I understand the process correctly.

You develop a model in Daz3d, and add motion, then save the motion frame by frame using rendering?
Then use something like Adobe Premier or iClone to together the scenes in a video?

Is that the basics?

Thanks

DS actually has Animation capabilities. Try the AniMate2 plugin for a quick look. You should have it in Windows>Tabs. This is a timed demo of the Full AniMate2. It is fully functioning for your first month.

You can then Save as Frames or in full video formats when you have what you want.

Also let me point you to this Forum http://www.daz3d.com/forums/categories/42/. It is full of DS and other Animators who can help you.
