DAZ Beasts and Brutes

I've recently purchased the above, and the Daz Install Manager has put everything in my (... people ... Genesis ...Base ... Morphs ... Valandar ... BeastsBrutes) folder.

Assuming therefore that they are G1-based characters, I've uploaded a G1-base figure and tried to "merge" the selected figure into the base figure, but that doesn't seem to work. Using a BeastBrute figure as a stand-alone figure doesn't seem to work either (but I didn't expect it to). Furthermore, the morphs aren't shown in the "parameters" of the Daz workspace, although other morphs from other add-ons are in there.

Has the Daz Install Manager installed these morphs into the wrong folder (this has happened before) or is it me who is dong something wrong (which has also happened before)?

All advice appreciated

Mine have been installed to C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\Valandar\BeastsBrutes, and there are no user facing files for these items, only sliders in the Parameters pane.

Load a base Genesis first, then go to the Parameters pane, then go to Actor > Universal > Fantasy SciFi and you will find sliders there for Fishman , Fomorian Hill Giant etc etc.

What you seem to be seeing are 'data' folders which should NOT be visible inside DAZ Studio.   The way to load these figures is to load a Base Genesis first, then use the sliders to apply the character morphs.   Your Content Directory Manager may need to be looked at, to make sure that it is only seeing the library files and NOT the data folder.

  • Comparing my directory structures with yours, it seems that the Daz Installation Manager has indeed installed them into the wrong folder. I've moved them over to match your directory structure and they all work fine now.
    Thanks for the help
