Trouble Some Products Default Iray Settings

I have a 100% crash rate when I try to render with iRay on this product.
West Park Treatment Room Iray
Is anyone else having trouble with this? Typically, I have no issues with IRay renders. Odd that such a simple room would crash me.

It isn't crashing for me, but it is very very very slow and memory usage is high. After it terminated automatically at 10000 iterations, it was only 5% converged. This is what I got:
I just had the same experience with the Step Van: Zombie Hunter. It must be using up all of my memory. I noticed on the Zombie Van promos the IRay promos had no people in them. It just doesn't seem like it should be so memory heavy. Wonder it there is a way I can dumb down the textures to let me use iray sucessfully?
Apparently I cannot even render the empty van with iray settings. This cannot be!
This is interesting. If I load the 3Delight version, then use the iRay uber base, everything works fine. Doesn't this point to something with the default settings using up a lot of memory?
Here's the fully loaded van from the 3Delight version just converted to the iray uber base shader. Now if this works, shouldn't the default IRay shaders for this product work? The products default Iray shaders seem to be too beefy to render and crash me immediately. I've ran into this one a few product and it is quite frustrating.
It could be the addition of the normal maps I guess.. doing a simple 3DL > Iray via the uber material will obviously leave out the additional maps.. which might explain why it works in that scenario.
What are you specs?
Here's the specs
Even the van by itself with it's Iray maps crashes me. That seems very strange. Not that many materials on the van without all the extras.
What graphics card do you have?
NVidia GeForce GTX 970M
Could be an memery issue then on the GPU? If barbult is showing a 4gb usage, I wonder how much GPU ram you have.. have you tried just rendering via the CPU? (Uncheck the GPU in the advanced render settings)
I haven't tried that but I will. Seems like if it were a problem like that though, other big sets wouldn't render just fine. I did update my driver since I've been having this issue. Going to go back and see tf that makes a difference as well.
