I forgot to get yesterday's advent calendar item. Today the store page still shows yesterday's items as free or low cost but when I add the free item to my cart it isn't free. Is it supposed to be still free or is it an error that it is still advertised as free?

There are issues with the Advent Calendar, which daz is looking into. You could open a support ticket, with a screenshot attached, to see if support can help you but it is really the opposite of the main problem (not being able to claim the intended freebie/cheap item).
