Questions regarding icon labels

I saved some materials in my library. Some of them had the little yellow "materials" label over the icon and others had no label at all. I also saved a character preset and it got the "actor" label instead of "character". They all worked fine but what determines the label and can it be manually assigned?

Metadata determines the labels. Open the materials in product library (if you're not already there), right-click on the folder and choose "Edit Metadata".

Yes, by following Gordig's instruction, you want to define Content Type which sets the "icons" on the thumbnails. As for what you mentioned, Actor is an "old Content Type", Preset - Character is "new" since 4.12 if I remember correctly...vaguely.

You choose what you want from that dropdownlist.

  • Ah ok, I don't use the smart content pane so I wasn't aware of that. Thanks.

No problem ~ if so, you just modify them in Content Library, in almost the same way...
