OMG! surprise

So I saw this in FastGrab and thought, I wonder if it will render for me. Bought it, thinking, if I can't at least it looked like a nice set I could piecemeal as needed.

But.... to my TOTAL surprise it all loaded very quickly and rendered out fully and BEAUTIFULLY in about 30 minutes!

And when I say ALL - I honestly could not believe how HUGE this set is!!! But it didn't bog down my system at all somehow. Oh! AND even INSIDE the building is beautifully textured. WHAT A DEAL! smiley.

Instant fan. heartheartheart

I like many of Magix 101's landscape/environment/architectural/fantasy products.  I’ve bought 14 of them since starting in 2019.

    JasmineSkunk,

Wonderful find! With their unique character, the fantasy and sci-fi environment sets are hard to resist. I'll be keeping my eye on Magix-101 from now on.

    Cheers!

I have several of their products...they are very good.

I bought Real Dynamic Atmospheres once, and promptly asked for a refund. The main selling point of that product (for me), those gorgeous skies, are just flat JPG's. It locks you into a certain aspect ratio and you can't use DOF. Nothing "dynamic" about it, quite the opposite.

It looks like their other products are much better, but I can't recommend Real Dynamic Atmospheres.

Yeah, it's really nice. I had to grab another one while they're still in FastGrab. smiley But, now seriously... I gotta STOP spending. I already dipped past my budget. surprise But they're just so lovely and versatile. I can use the landscape for dozens of different settings. Just so nice! heart

Magix 101's stuff tends to be unmistakable. Or at least his promos are. And he's been around for yonks, so his back catalog is extensive.

I'm just returning and discovering artists that I could never afford to buy from in the past. It's been really fun! smiley I used to primarily purchase characters and hair, but since coming back, I find I am more interested in environments and IRAY tools. So, I am, for the first time, getting acquainted with artists, I didn't buy from before... I'm really enjoing it!heart I can't wait to see what else I find. smiley

If you love Magix 101, may I suggetst Roguey and Strangefate who together produced the ROG line of fantasy/medieval/hobbit sets and other neat things.

And of course, UltraScenery Landscape System created by Howie Farkes and added onto by other great PAs. https://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result?q=ultrascenery There are three Commerical forum pages where users post their work and experiments and ask questions.

    ...
I get several those set, detail amazes. I also use candle lighting of these scenes with other environment so good for fantasy-medieval mood. Only caution on hobbit house* resource not present for recreate grass and soil on top as find promo image. Only minor disappointed as can make same but believe it will come with set. So highly recommend if loving precious detail you enjoy and best old look light source. Be prepare of much render time if weak gpu. *product not called as Hobbit House, but you know if see.
  • Thank you for your insight, Annikas Art!

Remember a LONG LONG time ago when Magix went by a different handle and made fantasy hair for V3 and V4?  They/He/She has been at this game for a good long while but their fantasy settings are superb for sure.

If you click on their handle link and scroll down a bit you will see all their hair offerings are still in the store.

Hey! I didn't realize it was the same creator! I have some of their hair already! Thanks for the heads up, I would never have guessed it! smiley

    yessmiley Thanks!

  • The "H" stands for Harvey. He also had some stuff at Rendo back in the day

  • I have a fair few of their older things plus some iray sets

I like that they are full of blimps and billboards for good background filling in animations

I bought the Iray Worlds SkyDome and the Iray SkyDome Super Pak addon for it, and love it!

The main pack is a lot of fun and the addon expands it dramatically!

I really like this artistic style - and the other kits by Magix101 as well. I should really start grabbing those up.
