Ball Cap weird fit around ear area

Betty Ball Caps for G9 are not fitting at the ears properly (see attached). Tried it on several G9 models. All same result.

Is it something I'm doing wrong?

I've noticed weird fits with hair too on G9. Is there something with G9 and hair/clothing fit around ears that is a bug? 

How would this not be noticed before the product is released??

I really love this cap, and would hate to have to return it for this issue.

    It fits the default G9 character just fine.

    When I fiddled with the ears (ear pull back 100%) it distorts the hat. Oh well. 

    I did not adjust the ears on the Cairo HD character. It distorted the hat with the default Cairo HD. 

    Does it depend on the figure? Any adjustments and hair/clothes may distort? 

    I never had this issue with G8 figures.

    Clothing is always modeled on the default figure so things like this can happen, I have seen issue like this on all generations. If you look at the settings in the hat (check hidden) and see if changing any of them fix the effect.

    Then again, it is a hat, you can just parent it to the figure instead of fitting

    Yes, with the head morphs from some characters or some partial head morphs, there'll be such an issue 'cause the vendor had no way to make FHM, bs, PHM on this cap for every character or partial morph.

    So a quick way - you may just zero or reduce the value of character's head morph in the cap's hidden properties... Or fix it with Mesh Grabber, dFormer, Hexagaon, Blender, etc. to update the _bs_ morph on the cap

    Never thought of that. Thank you. I will try parenting some stuff when issues arise.
