IRay, Rendering Mode settings...explanation?

Continuing with my quest to figure IRay out, here's the next question. Referring to the attached image, can someone please fill in the blanks (so to speak). 'Max Time' and 'Update Interval' are obvious but the rest are mostly big question marks. 'Rendering Converged Ratio' is what? I've fiddled with 'Rendering Quality' but results are questionable. It didn't make the render take longer and cranking it up didn't seem to make a difference.
Thanks again folks.

Converged ratio is an internal metric that the engine uses to decide the iterative calculation is done / good enough. The default of 95% will be fine almost all of the time. You may not need to wait until the progress bar reaches 100% either (100% of your convergence selection). 50% progress or less can often result in a "clean enough" render.
Thanks for the reply. I'm slapping myself in the forehead as I've solved my problem with IRay. I didn't realize that the settings where just sliders for node settings. After watching this tutorial ( ) I realized that I'd had it completely wrong. I've spent enough time goofing with nodes in Poser that I can at least jump into IRay's shader mixer with a vague amount of confidence.
Thanks again.

HTH, but I'm not sure why the shader mixer played a part in your Iray issues. The shader mixer really has nothing to do with the IRay render settings.
Or you can leave the converge ratio at default, or lower it, then change quality to 2 or more.
You can also do this while the render is being processed, and the progress bar will change.
