Shaders

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I have several shaders, like Toon Noir, that I can't apply. I click on them and they either just change the surface color to a monotone grey/white, change the highlights, or just don't work. What do I need to do to apply them simply to get the results that they are there for?

    Do they look like that when rendered? Many shaders look way off until rendered.

    Are you rendering in 3Delight? Those shaders are not for Iray.

    I do use Iray mostly. I just tried 3D and it did work. Thank you.

    I love Iray, but one big drawback is that a lot of cool and funky shaders only work in 3Delight. :/
