Best Female Figures?

Anyone have an opinion on their favorite female figure to work on and why?  I'm currently using Genesis 3 Female, and am thinking about Victoria 4.  Anyone use Genesis 2 or any others they love??  I'd love to know what people use.. I always feel like when I'm shopping for something it's not on the figure I want to use it on..  I'd like to stick with one for a while.

    G3F is of course the latest technology, whereas Victoria 4 was released back in 2006, so is beginning to show her age a little.

    G3F is the latest and the greatest. I only have V7 but I think Eva 7 is the best looking G3F model so far : )

    I like V4, mostly because I have  LOT of add-on clothes, hair, morphs, mocaps, etc. and there are a lot more at various websites at fairly low prices.  Also, all that works very well in my short animations in Carrara, while I've read of problems with some of the Genesis figures (and had trouble with DUF files myself).  Here is a short animation done with V4 (the V4 stuff starts at ~2:00) (note it was for a two day contest, so not a lot of "polishing"):

    Maybe browse the DAZ Galleries and find renders you like, then see which figure was used.

    As an artist who paints and illustrates, the model doesn't really matter to me because I'll paint the anatomical corrections regardless.  However, if I were unable to do that, then G3F and her characters, would be my choice because there is less to correct.  Depending on the poses, most models will look good anatomically, while other poses will show the anatomical shortcomings.  Also, bad poses will make the anatomy look wrong in a good model and worse in a less anatomically sound model.  V4, while it has a lot of good characters and such, definitely falls in the anatomical shortcomings category with many poses (bending, arms up).  So it depends on what you're looking to do, first, and how much correction you're willing to make or live with, if not making corrections, as to what will be good for your purposes.

    G2F, because I have a profusion of morphs and skins to work with, and the underlying figure is fairly advanced. It's the most robust.

    G3F suffers because I don't have 12 years of developments to toss in.

    I use G3F and G2F - using V4 (and V3) till today. I think it´s the best way to use the newest figure - with the autoconforming feature from DAZ Studio you can use all from the V4 outfits and at least you can use V4 textures with G2F (and maybe with G3F in future - we will see).

    When you are in need with anatomical good figures you should take G3F, V4 needs a lot of 3rd party morphs to look anatomical correct (that means the bending).

    My understanding is that G2F is the most advanced figure in terms of a regular user being able to get a specific look they want, whereas G3F is the best at bending and is potentially much better at facial expressions. I like G2F because I have all the characters and morphkits to get the looks I want, but I've been slowly moving over to G3F as more become available. If you want to stick with one figure, it's a pretty safe bet that the majority of new content will be for G3F, whereas there is already a lot of content out for G2F but not as much new.

    V4 is still really popular and I'm sure she was probably absolutely groundbreaking when she first came out, but that was ever such a long time ago and I can't agree with anyone that thinks she's still the best. G2F can morph into V4 and use her UVs, hair and clothing which significantly reduces her appeal. Plus she takes forever to load and half her stuff is in other formats. Working with Genesis and up has been a much nicer experience for me.

    In terms of actual characters, I think that V7 (esp HD) is the best looking figure Daz have made yet (I haven't really felt satisfied with Arabella, Michael, or Josie's HD versions.) I still don't really get Eva or Karen; they just seem like Other Victorias. I think that Bethany, Josie, and Arabella have really interesting body types, though. In the G2F line, Giselle is probably my favourite Original character (I really like her textures and makeups which is rare on a base) and FWF Janna my favourite PA texture to use on other models.

    G2F is a good choice as it is cost-effective to get into; G3F is, however starting to see some decent offers on the earlier releases.

    I'd recommend looking at the images available, and then see what figure was used; then look at the time, and morph and other resource requirements. Then, of course, it's down to skills.

    There are plenty of artists that can and do produce better with V1, than I do with G3.

    Without spending any cash on addons, it's likely you would get more from G3F. None are really functional without some addons.

    I use G3F because, as a Published Artist, I basically have to keep up with the new stuff.  She does have more advanced rigging and is easy to created morphed characters for.  I adore her facial rig - I've finally been able to make conforming eyebrows that move properly with expressions!  She's easier to texture in Zbrush with her UV layout like it is, too.

    The big downside to G3F vs. G2F is clothing.  Genesis 3 is harder to rig for.  I'm afraid neither G3F nor G3M will ever have the volume of clothes that the G2's had (even though I do see PAs creating great outfits for them).

    G3F, IMHO , churns out the most realistic renders. However G2F is rather good also and works in Carrara while G3F or G3M do not. If I were starting out today without Carrara I'd go for G3F. Why?... because it's the latest. Grab the latest copy of DAZ Studio which is FREE and then V7 Pro and HD head/body then start your collection of extras as your pocket book will allow.

    IMO the G3 don't have enough morph options for the face as the G2 do.

    Don't bother with link nicstt posted, it is about 90% baseless and paranoid speculation from a handful of users.

    And your speculation is based on?

    Or Microsoft reversing a commitment it gave to customers over Onedrive storage, is not an example of how Companies change the terms of what they offer without any prior notice?

    I was avoiding the discussion here, so as not to hijack the thread, and was suggesting the user can make their own decission, you post suggests otherwise.

    The bases at least are not going to be encrypted, nor are the currently available Daz "base characters" or other characters - this has already been addressed by Daz staff. Any discussion of encryption beyond those facts should be in the thread devoted to the topic.
