Fitting Clothes To The Chest (Stumped)

I'm working on a model for a swim suit & for some reason when I load it up into DAZ the chest is being pushed way out & not fitting to my character tight like it's modeled too (Pic1) once it's put through the Transfer tool.

It's modeled tight when I first import the .obj into DAZ (Pic2) it is tight & then once I use the Transfer tool it pushes the chest way too far out, I can't figure out how to stop it from doing that (Pic3)...

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Was your item modelled around the base shape or around a specific character?

  • It was modeled around the character it's on in the pics.

I exported the model & started working right on that, I looks great when I first import it & apply a smoothing modifier,

But once I use the transfer tool it pushes the chest way out no matter what I've done :/

It appears indeed you used a morph of the base figure

the bases are Genesis, Genesis female 2  & 3 etc, V6, V7  Eva And all the rest of the girls, are morphs of it.

you can use them but you need to change the setting from default to whichever morph you used

Ok so first thing is to check the parameters used for transfer utility: you need to set the target shape as "current" (or "morph" and select that morph if it's a single dial) so that it knows that the clothes are supposed to fit the morphed figure, not the base one. If you don't then the clothes will also auto-follow that morph and basically apply it twice.

Ahhhh....So really I should model things for the base & then make Morph adjustments options for the tricky parts of a custom model then?

Thanks, I didn't realize that the Transfer utility needed to be set for custom morphs, I thought modeling off that morph would make things fit right :)

Yes, model to the base shape and then make the adjustments needed.

    Nope, it isn't that 'smart'....

  • Awesome, Thanks for the help everyone!

  • Update*

I would buy you all puppies if I could!

Didn't even make the adjustment morphs yet, Just got done reworking it for the V6 base model & it already fits 10x better!

Thanks again! You all rock \\m//
