categories missing from Content Library

I just installed the latest Beta (4.9044). I did back-up my content database before doing so.  After the install everything looks good except that just a few of the more recent categories I added to the Content Library are missing (the content itself is there when I search for it).  Possibly there is something I need to do get them back . . . . I just can't seem to see what that would be.  As well, any new content I install is not highlighted as "new" as it was previously.  Suggestions please.

    Have you tried reimporting your user_data ?

    Right, there we go.  Thanks.  So is there any way to get the current to highlight new content or do I have to search for it manually?
