G3F/ Victoria 7 FBX export with animation

Hey!  I'm trying to export .FBX with animation. The model is G3F/ Victoria 7. When Morphs are included animation gets partly lost + some body-parts are moving independently of bones. There are some distortions as well. Tested in 3ds max and Unity - must be an export issue. My peers noticed the same thing - recommended me to revert to Genesis 2. Need your help guys.

If you can, export the Daz model to another program as fbx and animate it there. That's what I am doing.

  • G3/Victoria 7 is an amazing figure and the fact that we can't export it properly is a shame. I hope there will be no such problems with the future figures.

How can you not export it properly? I am currently making a facial animation of V7 in Maya and I exported it just fine.

  • I can not export it with proper DAZ animation in FBX.

You should really try to animate the figures inside another program. : )

  • I can animate it in another program. What I'm saying is, there was a convenient way to animate a figure in DAZ. With Victoria 7 export issue this DAZ functionality becomes useless for me. I would be happy If this issue would be fixed.

What are your export issues when trying to export the figure to animate it in another program? Both collada and fbx work for me quite well.

Has there been any update to this ? any fix?

I can export the G3F/ Victoria 7 as .fbx with keyframed animation and import to 3ds Max without issue, as soon as I add morphs the animation is broken.

    thx

  • Hi Asymptote

So you are getting this when you animate in DS, then export everything, including animations, to 3ds Max?, and are you using G3F/Victoria only, have you tried with others?

I don't use 3ds max, but I do use Motionbuilder a lot.. and I don't see any of these issues, however, I only export the character then animate in MB.  I'll have to test to see if I get the same thing.  I know that as morphs are used, they automatically get baked, and might be that they are getting interference with your export list..

I'll do a test and report back
