I think that's from mixing him with Dain. I often see this issue when I mix male G9 characters. No one quite agrees where the crease under the pectoral belongs.

Little issue with the pro bundle.  They have the feminine alt shape there as well as the alt shape bundle with includes the Feminine shape.  Might want to fix that DAZ.

It has the shaps and the shapes bundle and the Starter Bundle and the parts from the Starter Bundle - not sure if it is an error or way to adderss having the bundles still appear in store evn if we own all the parts.

I think every bundle that contains another bundle also lists the contents of all the bundles it contains (how much wood could a woodchuck chuck ...). It would be cool if the store did this hierarchially for clarity, but I think it's better than not listing them.

Yes, but it is unusual to list the bundles themselves (rather than just the common products).

I was going to say they did it for Jennie and Walter, except that seems not to be the case, or no longer to be the case. So ... either I imagined that, or it's something that happens temporarily when pro bundles with shapes bundles in them roll out.

I can't be sure it is the reason, but i know the issue of having smaller bundles still appear in the store when all their items had been purchased through a larger bundle was recently raised internally so it does sound likely that this was a way to address that.

I caved, and the coupon did work today.

I managed to get the Pro bundle price down to $34.91 using the 30% off coupon, buying extra items for another 30% off and using two tokens for another 13% off and I am happy with my purchase feeling like I got a great bargain!

Sometimes you have to jump through hoops to get the bargains, but nobody is forcing you to play the game.  Engage at your own comfort level.

    Thanks DAZ!

Yeah, it sure would be nice if those of us who were tricked into using the 30% coupon yesterday because it said 'TODAY ONLY' had the opportunity to use the coupon today instead.

All I can suggest is opening a support ticket.

Already done for whatever good it may do. Unfortunately by the time DAZ answers the ticket the other discounts that would stack with the coupon will probably be gone. Which is why I had hoped that the mods would point out the problem to DAZ.

$95 for the pro bundle. No thanks, I'm finding AI to be a better option for what I do.

If I may ask, what do you do where AI is a better option? (No I am not making this an AI discussion - I really am curious about what you are doing.)

You can create characters in AI. And scenes. I'm also a photographer and create mixed media art. There are advantages to using 3D but what does this character do that makes it worth $95 when I have Gen 8 characters that are virtually the same thing? I know I come across as a cynic around here but it's only because most here wear 3D blinders. Many here are behind the curve, there are easier and faster and better quality tools for creating 2D art. And cheaper. So yeah, watch me spend $95 for something I already have in Gen 8 or can create with alternative means.

I agree that the BW Kwame Outfit looks odd to us, but I went and looked at a history of male sweaters for the 20th century and noticed that during the 1930s to 1950s, the sweaters often ended at the high hip, instead of the lower hip. Possibly due to the impact of the depression and WWII rationing. The neck, well I agree, weird but one of the two styles provided is a sweater that opens and that may have been the source. I love the fabric designs that are offered. Also, I have noticed that offen our PAs have clothing to us before they are available in stores. This may indicate that male sweaters are going the way of female crop top everything. (One style I wish they would stop. Who wants to wear a crop top in -17F weather?)

The HS Kevin Hair, I took a look at it and can't tell if it was straightened or not to make the twists. I have been enjoying the more natural look of African hair in the recent decades. I remember my friends in the Air Force in the early 70s having to straighten their hair to conform to military standards until it was approved to have a short Afro style.

    ...

    Mary

Mary, you really know a lot about fashion and its history; that's great. And you're right: some of the styles you can buy here at Daz shop only come to the 'real' shops later. Presumably the PAs who design clothes subscribe to trade magazines in which you can see the models for the coming seasons; the industry always needs at least one season in advance for its orders. But some of the designs here are so good that the fashion industry should take inspiration from them - maybe then they wouldn't come up with stupid things like crop jackets for winter...

It may be that Kevin Hair is in fashion now; I haven't seen it yet and I don't really like this style. Yet another method of maltreating human hair. But it can withstand a lot... ;-)

Yeah, they also have the starter bundle listed as a component. That's fine, but if the shapes bundle is a part of the larger bundle, there is little need to include the promos of its contents, since they are already listed individually. It's screwy organization which doesn't make sense until you start downloading it and see that they've listed both the smaller bundles *and* their contents twice.

When the smaller bundles are listed as part of the Pro bundle, the smaller bundles will also be tagged as bought when one buys the Pro bundle.
This far, when one has bought the larger bundle that includes the contents of a smaller bundle, the smaller bundle has not been marked as bought.

If they continue doing this, it is something that has been wished for - Less clutter in the store and it helps prevent buying something one already owns the second time.

I prefer Daz to release characters that stick with a consistent look and theme. Seems like they always need to have a character that's everything in one. Old, young, masculine, feminine, portly, skinny etc. Would it not be better to release a character that has a clear defined consistent look and theme, and let the artists use the already included sliders in Genesis 9 morphs to adjust how they want it by using their creative imagination? My problem is you have a new character character called Xola, but it's half a dozen different looking characters and themes in one and I can't clearly define the actual character. It's trying to be too many things at once and all over the place. On top of that they mix in characters not part of the bundles in the promos only to add more confusion. Just my opinion.

IMO, I'm OK with this practice but where it's involving a main feature of the product (ie, here, the Xola character/bundle), it should be clearly noted in the promo shot, for example the one that says it's 50% Elder Xola and 50% Walter (among several others). That shows potential versatility of the character but is also honest and fair, making it clear that this look isn't created entirely from product content.

I hear you. The price will come down, as prices here tend to do. Then it may make sense to look again. People buy for their own reasons. A great many people outspend me by a lot. I'm not judging any of that. And thanks.

Edit: Gripes about the body shape aside, the final price (with weekend offers and survey coupon) was low enough to pull the trigger.

The head looks great, but the rest of the body not so much. The torso is weirdly wide and the hips and where the legs join just look "off" to me. I want to like him, but....weird body. I realize I can switch the body out, but I'm tired of buying characters just basically for a head ;). Even then, I usually change the heads, at least slightly. Probably gonna pass on this one.
