Hya, my work is illustrating an article on new discoveries in near human ancestors and their relationship to the Bible. Quote from article.

Luckily we were more concerned by the scientific evidence for the pre-Adamic era. Scientific evidence shows that anatomical modern humans existed at least 60000 years in Europe, and longer in Africa, while biblical scholars, using genealogies listed in the Bible, date Adam and Eve to about 4000BC.

Very nice, reminds me a little of "The Garden Of Earthly Delights" by H. Bosch (that's a good thing), but not quite as weird.  My birder wife spent some time in South Africa, great spot for birding.  I got a T-shirt.

thanks @Steve K :)  The model was Cranach's work. But I am happier to go with Bosch! :) South Africa has great waves, but the local aquatic inhabitants like to eat foreign surfers :)

Well done, Andy - great piece of work:)  You are the only artist who's got it right - if South Africa is the cradle of humankind, then clearly Adam and Eve must have been South Africans!

Our sharks aren't allowed to discriminate on the grounds of zenophobia - they'll eat anyone gets close enough:)

Ha ha thanks Roy :) ! Yes, descendants of Africa we are... but I always make Christ with a blonde beard, though I have been known to make him Chinese and Aboriginal.

I didn't know that about sharks. When I see them in the water with me it's a religious experience - because they make me walk on water trying to get away!

  • Great to see your work in the wild, and in interesting article too.
