Newbie Question - Extracting Files so I can see them
Hi! I am using Daz Studio 4.5 on a Windows 10 computer. I just started using it again after many years and it's my first time with 4.5
I downloaded some freebies from this site: http://trumarcar.francemi.net/
But when I try to extract them, they are doing one of the following things each time:
1) Not showing up in my Daz
2) Showing up, but in really weird paths and when I try to use any of them it tells me that the ".obj files can't be found". I have to manually find them from a totally diff spot on my computer every single time I use each one. Which is really a pain. It wouldn't be so bad if it would at least remember where it was after I've told it once, but it doesn't.
I keep trying to extract to all these diff places to make it work, but no suck luck, so I think I'm doing something wrong... and now I have the same files like 10 times in diff spots all over my computer.

For starters update Daz Studio to the current 4.8 version. It's free and offers so much more capability. The path that you extract too must be mapped in Daz Studio. The top level folder in that mapped path should not be "Content"
I do have Daz 4.8 too, I jut hadn't tried it yet... I did now and they ar having the same issues there too :( How do I add a path? It is seeing the items, it just can't find my object files which are in the same folders as the images :(
I'll try more after work.
Sickleyield has a pretty decent tutorial on installing content for Studio...

Thanks!!! :) I'll read it and give that a try!
