How do I add content from other stores to Smart Content in 4.9?

I must be missing a link here somewhere.  

 

I have a ton of content I'd like to access, and Smart Content seems to be the way of the future.  How do I group files into a "product"?

I've messed about with the Content DB editor, but I can't for the life of me make a set like Aeon Soul's X8A01 show up in the Smart Content tab all grouped under one product like the Daz content does.

While we're at it, is there a place where this stuff is written down?
