Moving Files to New Computer (Newbie Here)
I just recently bought a new computer and I'd like to move my D3D content from my old computer to my new one. I know there are posts describing how to do this (by figuring out where the content is and making sure that the old content matches the new folder location, and so on) but those posts really make my head spin - not to mention they may be out of date for me because I've yet to find the C:\Content folder for Daz 4.8. All my stuff is in a completely different location (some is in Public Documents and others in My Documents.)
So...! Needless to say, I'm confused and hoping there was an easier way to transfer files. I don't have any special organization so I'm okay with just redownloading them all again, but will that work? Can I just use the DIM to reinstall everything? If so, how would I delete the files from my old computer so they stop clogging up the system?
My only issue is that I do have a bunch of scenes I made that I'd like to keep intact, is there a special way to move those or can I just transfer them with a flash drive?

The safest, best most reliable approach would be to download and install again via DIM. Big tip I've learned here at the forum is to just use the default location with DIM and only DIM content. Third party content should and can best be used in their own folder somewhere else. This has made my DAZ experience much more enjoyable.
Did the posts you found mention "the C:/Content folder" or just "the Content folder"? This is a long-standing source of confusion — "the Content folder" doesn't mean "the folder named Content", it means "the folder containing your Content files". Those two folders in Public Documents and My Documents are your Content folders; the one in Public is the DIM default location, the other one is the old D|S default location.
Scene files are just ordinary files, transfer them whichever way works best for you. They contain links to the bits and pieces (mesh data, morph data, textures, dial settings, etc.) that make up the objects in your scene. As long as those bits and pieces are installed into the new content location in the same way they were installed into the old one, D|S will just go ahead and load everything as normal.
