Layout question

I am not sure why I am not seeing the row of buttons along the top (like surface selection and so on). I have tried fiddling with Styles and Layouts but I can't get them! (not sure what the difference is between styles and layouts is anyway!)

Can anyone help me find the tool bar?

If changing any of the Layouts doesn't help, then you may need to go to Ccustomize (F3) in the right hand pane select Activities open the drop-down called Advanced, and then Toolbars.   That should tell you which ones are 'Switched On'.   If they are all Off, select the ones that you want, right click and select 'Enable Toolbar'.

If none of that helps, you could try reinstalling DS4.8, it will not affect your content.
