Overheating warnings plus another issue.

I am receiving 'warnings' in red on my PC. advising that certain components are overheating, for instance............. First I received this msg 'CPU temperature is too high, please check the heatsink and the fan' the msg quicklly disappeared but returned intermittently. ONLY WHEN USING DAZ. I duly checked the heatsing and the fan but could detect no problems. Some weeks later the nsg changed and refered to the GPU. Same msg, different component. Then later the msg refered to the Motherboard. I have checked and rechecked but cannot find a solution. I still get the same messsage and only when using DAZ. Further to all of this, for the last few days my PC randomly reverts to the pre PIN stage, so I find myself looking at the chosen windows or MS scenery picture, today it's a crevice in some rocks somewhere.

Thank you for reading this and it would be great if someone had any idea what's going on with my PC and my DAZ.

Are these warnings from the OS or a separate program? Perhaps a temperature monitor app could give a log to show what the temps are like when the warnings occur. If they are too high, there may be some issue with the components.

The reverting to pre-pin makes me think there might be an issue with system files. Perhaps running the windows system file checker could find and fix that, or it may take a reset of windows.

Open your computer's case and inspect your system.   Make sure that there is no dust clogging the fans, heatsinks, and air passages.  Clean your system thoroughly if there is.  After cleaning, start your system, resume what you were doing when the error messages occurred.  If you do not get any "overheating" messages, then close your computer's case and run your system.  If you get the "overheating" error message, inspect your system's fans and make sure they are all turning.  Replace any fans that are not turning.  

For cleaning - an aerosol duster, a good brush, and a vaccum cleaner will help.  You may also find "Color Coral" useful:

Hi Guys. Thank a lot for taking the time to offer your advice. I have already cleaned my PC inside and out to within an inch of it's life and I am checking sys files as we 'speak'? Most grateful for your input.

Make sure to clean out the heatsink well. If it's been a while dust builds up in the fins (depending on the style you have) and you usually have to take a small brush like a toothbrush to get it all out. It can cause a lot of overheating issues. If it is all cleaned out well and you are still having the issue you may have an issue with the thermal paste between the processor and the heatsink (assuming it is a CPU issue). I use HWiNFO on all our computers cause you can see what pretty much everything is doing. You can do hardware analysis, monitoring, and diagnostics. I don't recall off hand if it records though. I also use HWMonitor which is another app that does voltages, temperatures, and fan speed monitoring. Do some research and figure out how you wish to monitor and troubleshoot your issue.
