Questions about Santa Delux Suit

This is a very attractive Santa Suit by Neftis3D. A few qustions, though:

  • Is it possible to pose the hat? It looks like it's always in front of his shoulder.
  • Any images of the under outfit? Suspenders, shirt, etc?
  • Can you please provide info on the hair, beard and glasses used in your renders?
  • How does it handle a fatter Santa? I think it would look okay if the fur stretched a little, but I'm worried about the belt and buckle distorting if I were to give him a bigger "bowlful of jelly."

GREAT design, by the way. Even though I just bought Toon Santa, I'm still tempted by this because I know I will want a more realistic Santa at some point.

The hat gizmo can be flipped to the other side and adjusted a small amount but doen't look great. The suit fits a fatter Santa without distorting the buckle.

I was going to post a render but it crashed DS when I was rendering in Iray. Said a TDR had been detected. Weird, the Suit material and buckle are Iray materials and the rest is 3Delight. I will try again to render something later and post.

Here are a couple of Iray renders. Fits OK on a chubby Santa.

The default fur trim is fiber with a tranparency map, slow render for me in Iray or 3Delight, so I removed the transparency map. That is the default red velvet Iray shader on the suit. It is kind of dark I think.

Thanks SO MUCH for the renders! That definitely helps me decide if I need this right now.

I'm glad the buckle doesn't distort (I had that problem on a different outfit once by someone else).

I agree with you that this is kind of dark. I'll decide today if I'm going to buy this, and your renders will definitely be a key part of my decision.

    Thanks again!

I read in another thread that the beard glasses and hair are a separate product and coming soon

  • Redz: Thanks for that info. I was definitely looking for those elsewhere.
