Hide and Seek

I have the need to HIDE a bunch of objects, but have a problem rmemebering which one they are to go and inhide them again. Is there any way to UNHIDE everything that is hide globally?

Kind of... Just select everything (even things in groups... don't forget to open the groups if things were set invisible inside them) and toggle the visible box at least once, then make sure it ends up on the choice you want.
