Are you talking about this: http://www.daz3d.com/kung-fu-hd-for-genesis-2-male-s
If so that is for Genesis 2, not Genesis.
However, assuming you either have a Genesis 2 male to put it on, or have some other clothes I cannot find in the market called Kung Fu for Genesis, here is the sequence of steps to do to put the clothes on the figure.
Step 1: Open a new scene
Step 2; Navigate to your figures and double-click to put either a Genesis or a G2 Male (whichever is appropriate to your clothes) into your scene.
Step 3: Double-click the figure to select it.
Step 4; Navigate to the Kung fu clothing item.
Step 5: double-click the clothing. It should come into the scene and auto-fit to the figure.
Warning: You can put a Genesis clothing item onto G2, but you cannot put a G2 clothing item (easily) onto Genesis.
This is the pack I have, http://www.daz3d.com/michael-4-martial-arts-interactive-pcs
I loaded a Genesis 2 Female and I still can't get it to work.
This pack is a set of poses, there are no clothes included in it.
Sorry it is this one, http://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files/prod/5038/
Is that this one? http://www.daz3d.com/kung-fu-clothes-for-m3 (I don't have the product, so your link doesn't work for me, but it's the same product number).
Those clothes are intended for Micheal 3, not for any Genesis figure...
You can autofit them to Genesis 1 if you have this product: http://www.daz3d.com/v3-and-m3-shapes-for-genesis
Yes, it is the kung fu clothes for M3 item you mention
Well I guess I have to buy Micheal 3 also, lol
I bought the Micheal 3 and I still can get it to work. Please help. Thanks
What are you trying to do exactly, and what doesn't work?
Are you maybe trying to load a material (they'll be .pz2 files, in the Poses library) and not the clothes themselves (those will be .cr2 files, in the Figures library)?
In this image you can see I have a Michael 3 male and I am double clicking the Coat Kung-Fu P4 and it won't put it on.
I never use the 'products' section in content library, so I don't know in what order you see the files when using it. But considering there's a P4 and PP version of this and another set of thumbnails with the coat in another color my guess is that the files one can see in your screenshot are materials. You can check the products details in the "info" tab under the content library section, materials would be .pz2.
There's probably another thumbnail for the clothes themselves, maybe with an untextured version of the coat on it?
Oh and you'll want to use the PP version in DS btw, P4 was made for Poser 4 loooong ago and uses an old format for bump maps which doesn't work in DS.
I'm not sure I understand all that. What is the PP version in DS?
You have files called "Kung Fu Coat P4" and "Kung Fu Coat PP" on your screenshot. For DAZ Studio the one with "PP" will work better.
I don't have the version of Das Studio you are using, I have the one before and the one after.
Also I don't have the Kung-Fu Clothes for M3 but I do have several of that artists other products produced around the same time (about 11 years ago)
Is there another icon labeled coat with the 4 you show? This is a screen grab of a similar product.
If so that should bring up and fit an untextured coat (as Leana said) then use the PP icon to apply the texture (colour and detail)
You could also go to the DAZ Studio menus, select Edit > Preferences > Content Library and put a check mark in the box 'Show File Extensions', that way you will know what kind of file your are trying to load. Your files are in Poser format, so a material file would be a PZ2 and what you are looking for is a CR2 file which will be the main clothing item. Load the CR2 file first, THEN apply the material option if needed.
You MUST have the figure (CR2) loaded into the scene first before you can apply the material (texture, PZ2) option.
Loaded and selected, in fact
