Hair not rendering

I bought Short Pixie Cut for Genesis 9, but it does not render. I'm rendering with DS4.20 and feel that there is probably some product update that I need to download to fix it, but I'm not yet ready to go to the latest DS version. Is there a fix?

    I think it uses the updated shader, which will require a newer version of DS and an update to the Default Resources. You can always use the beta to try it out, if you don't want to overwrite 4.20.x.x yet.

    A little while ago I bought the dForce Holo Hair for Genesis 9 and had the same problem. I was prompted to download an update for some materials, but the install conked out. I think that if the update had gone successfully, then things may have worked. Or perhaps not...

    So, what is the best way to go about downloading the latest beta? Can I get it without using the Install Manager?

    No, the betas have to use Install Manager in order to coexist with the General Release.
