Eyeglasses with distortion?

Is there a product or method to achieve thick glasses that would magnify or distort the eyes behind them?

I would try the glass in iray shaders that come default with Daz Studio. You might also be able to add a geoshell to the glasses and double up on the glass shader effects.

With an appropriately shaped lens, surface Thin Film OFF and the correct Index of Refraction, you can achieve any look.  Some of the glasses available have thick lenses, others are just single flat or curved surfaces. The trick is getting the proper curvature of the two sides of a thick lens. Judicious use of weight maps for deformers or push modifiers should get it done. Try it with a flattened sphere to make a magnifying glass to see how it works.

Interesting ideas...thanks.  I'll give a deformed sphere with a glass material applied a try.
