Blender to Daz Textures?

I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. (which is a problem since I'm already bald).

I just created a shoe in Blender (major Blender novice) which I then wanted to bring into DAZ studio. However, I also want the textures. That is proving to be a major pain. The object has been UV unwrapped (still don't understand that much) but the textures, won't apply properly.

Specifically I created a wedge that is supposed to have a vertically stacked wood heel. However the wood texture (which looks fine in Blender) is not aligning properly with the object, but rather following the curves of the object.

After hours of searching, I'm not seeing much direction. I wish there would be some clear and detailed resource for such things. (How do PAs even know what they know? Google is of little help to me.)

Click on the Viewport pulldown that probably says "Perspective View" and change that to UV View. Does that UV line up with the UV in Blender?

Huh. Never realized that was there. Yes, they do match.
