I just purchased these [Handspan and Thorne] products.

Is there a read me or instructions how to find these morphs? I know they are installed.

If not can you tell me where to find them.

I click on the "Melody" icon abut no changes show up.

You can access the readme either from DIM or directly by replacing the "<sku>" in the following URL by the SKU for the product:

    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/<sku>/start

    eg: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/54757/start for Melody

    Hi,

What I am looking for now is where in the parameters do I locate these morphs.

    Any advice is appreciated.

One option is to type in the characters or morph names in the search bar in Parameters Tab or Shape Tab. That should point you to their placement.

    Hi ZippyGuitar,

Everything is in the data folder. There seems to be no way to tell where they are in the parameters tab.

There is just a reset but who knows what it is resetting. I have no clue how to find and use this mass of morphs i purchased.

I'm hoping they have not been dumped into the parameters tab with no way to figure out which ones I purchased.

Usually a vendor labels them so at least you have the vendor name to find them.

I purchased 5 sets and so far I haven't been able to use any of them.

Do you know if there is a way to contact the vendor?

If they're in the Data Folder, then they have to be in the Parameters Tab, unless I'm completely misunderstanding something. I always thought the morphs' data folder and Parameters Tab had some sort of link between the two. The Top Lip Plump 02 and Top Lip Plump 03, for example, should show up in the Parameters Tab if you do a search for it. I would assume there is a location somewhere in the Parameters Tab called HSTW or HMK2 or Handspan or something that defines the location of the morphs. Did you try the search feature? I'm supplying an image to help explain what I'm referring to. I loaded a character and did a search in the Parameters Tab for Lower Lip. It took me straight to Rarestone's morphs for the Mouth/Lip. You can see where everything is in Italics and white lettered till you get to the actual folder where it's Bold White. I'm using Daz 4.11, but I assume everything still looks the same in newer versions.

EDIT: Also on the product page, the morphs are color coded, like Rarestone and so many others will do, so I assume those promos are legit. They are almost certainly located in their own directory in the Parameters and/or Shaping Tabs.

This is a script I wrote ten years ago, it prompts you for the folder containing the .dsf files (which you can get from the readme page - it will be in the data fiolder, or data/cloud/1_sku if you installed through DS). I started making a version that just took the SKU, based on one of the samples by the look of it but I can't recall which, however it threw an error just now so stick with this inelegant approach.

What the script does, once you give it the folder containing the morphs of interest, is produce a dialogue listing the sliders organised by the groups they appear under in the Parameters pane - you can copy the list to a text editor so you can refer to it while working.

Okay, I do not have the Genesis 8 version of the Resource Kits, but I have some of the Genesis 3 Male Resource Kits, and they are located under Actor->Full Body->HSTW Face Body Kit AND under Actor->Head->HSTW Face Body Kit. Under both of the HSTW Face Body Kits are ALL of the morphs for the G3M version. I would think the G8 versions would be set up similarly if not the same. I hope you do locate them.

    Hi Richard and ZippyGuitar,

Thanks sooo much for the amazing script. It works really well to locate the files.

Unfortunately, "/Actor/Head/Morph Kits/HSTW Head Morph Kit 1/Face/Real World" do not show up in my parameters tab.

I originally installed it with DIM. Today, uninstalled, reinstalled with Dim, uninstalled, manually install.

    Still nothing shows up.

A few days ago, I installed the latest version. I did not realize DS was still running, turned it off, got the white screen and could not find

how to uninstall so I just reinstalled. everything seemed to be working fine, but maybe it isn't.

Do you recomend I uninstall Daz then reinstall?

I truly appreciate all of your help.

If the morphs aren't loading it may be that DS and DIM hae different path settings. Check that the directory to which DIM is isntalling is one of the ones selected as a Daz Studio format content directory in Daz Studio.

    Hi,

I uninstalled and reinstalled 4.22 pro.

Same problem. Nothing is showing up in the parameters.

I am convinced at this point, you are correct that DIM is installing them to the wrong place.

Where and how do I tell it to install properly?

I have been posting about Gen X not loading properly so maybe both are connected to DIM.

    HI,

Do you think this is a problem with version of DS. I am really concerned that I can't get all of these products I purchased to install.

Even installing the products manually they are not showing up. Are they being pointed to the wrong place or is the place they are pointing to

    not there?

What are your content directory settings in DIM and DS?

  • lululee1lululee1 Posts: 332

Here's a screen shot of the settings.

This was my first time using DIM so I never changed anything.

You should include the data folder in the install path, if that is what you were doing.

  • lululee1lululee1 Posts: 332

    Hi Richard,

Yes, I think I put it in there.

Thanks so much for all of your help for this and all the other ones you've helped me with.

You are really valuable to all of us.
