DAZZLING-CATCH-UP code is not working for me either; I put 2 new Friday releases ( https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-su-urban-military-outfit-for-genesis-9-81-and-8-female AND dForce CeeCee Basics Outfit 04 for Genesis 9 and 8 Female ) and then the DAZZLING-CATCH-UP code to see if that alone would give the xtra 20% on the 2 new releases as stated in promo text and it wouldn't apply (Coupon not valid error). So looking at promo text again, thought maybe I had to put an item from 1 or all 3 of the categories, so I randomly carted 1 item from each of the 3 categories (HOT, GEMS, LEGACY) and COUPON STILL DID NOT WORK. Given it's so late now in the DazDay, I guess if this is broken it won't be fixed before the DazDay dies so I'm not shopping today. (Which is probably for the best anyway-- too much shopping! ; )
Yes, I'm not getting the discount, so sales lost today. Over-complicated and irritating.
Should not have editorial license.
And is thus sabotaging the timed deals for those who'd want to use the item for the first round of deals. Deals that aren't going to repeat if yesterday's template is followed today - the "catch up" will be more expensive, and that's if the catch-up coupon is even functional. (It wasn't last night).
So... Can we get a timely fix?
Hi mods, could you maybe ask DAZ if it's possible to have those Pre-Black Friday deals (you know, 'morning deals' and such) show their discount instead of one having to put them in the cart to see whether the price is right? This is so very inconvenient, there's pages and pages of stuff to go through, and I simply don't have the time. Thanks, and have a great day.
Will report.
I'm not sure what you're asking. They don't get the discount until you've put in the required release and discount code.
Yeah sorry, I just also realized I forgot that they need a code as well. So it is what it is then. Thanks for getting back to me anyways!
So I gather there have been some problems with some of the promo-code sales, maybe? I honestly can't tell whether the behavior I'm about to describe for you is broken or I'm somehow misreading the terms, but I'll lay it out for your entertainment anyway.
----------
Two different promo codes in play today.
1. "Select items from the three categories below and use code BRUNCHTIME-SAVINGS at checkout." This is just the code you use to get the stated discounts on the changes-every-six-hours lists. No other purchase is required and in theory the discounts don't slop over onto anything else.
2. "Use Coupon Code: MIDDAY-MARKDOWNS. Include 2 or more "Saturday" New Releases and Choose from each of these categories: [EXACT SAME EVERY-SIX-HOUR LISTS AS ABOVE], plus get an extra 20% off the "Saturday" New Releases."
OK, ready?
Control group: In cart, no code applied: one Lightning Deal for $7 and change, the SU apron and apron add-on from new releases (showing at the standard new 30%), and three items from the legacy six-hour list (the 85% list), which show no discount at all b/c the code hasn't been applied yet. Cart total: about a hundred dollars.
Experiment 1: Used BRUNCHTIME-SAVINGS. The two new releases were untouched (stayed at 30%). The lightning deal dove to a dollar (96% off). The three legacy sale items went to 85% off. Cart total: $35-ish.
This is expected behavior as written for everything but the lightning deal.
Experiment 2: Used MIDDAY-MARKDOWNS. The two new releases got their additional 20%, more or less (showed at 44% off), the lightning deal inexplicably fell by about three bucks (81% off) ... and the three legacy sale items TOOK NO DISCOUNT -- they remained at list.
They should have been $2.99 each! This is clearly broken. I followed the rules!
(In case you're curious, I took the apron and add-on out of the cart, used the former code, and got a very cheap outfit from the lightning deals and three very cheap items from the legacy category. Twelve bucks cart total. Mine not to reason why, I just go with what I'm dealt.)
There was an issue with the categories for the legacy items - we did report it and it was fixed not long after you posted I think.
I'm with you on these FRUSTRATING editorial licenses frakking up the timed deals. I won't buy editorial license products, and I'm not going to try to accurately guess which products that debut with an EL are errors and which are intended to be Editorial License restricted. So Daz needs to STOP items from getting inccorectly flagged with ELs, generally, but ESPECIALLY during 1-time-only timed sales or "flash" deals etc. Or be content if shoppers don't buy-- and for Daz, the point of chumming the water with deals is to encourage ...buying. Not Editorial License related but similarly sale-related... just as faulty EL flagging of items can put off shoppers, so do these time-limited-events when they do not work. As noted in an earlier post, I wanted items during FRIDAY's event and carted the required 2 FRIDAY new releases and used the coupon code, and even tried adding items from the category bins but nothing made the coupon work, so thats two time-limited sales where I passed (or am passing) on buying ANYTHING at Daz THOSE DAYS due to things not being set up right in the store. When you have NORMAL sales -- a promo page that is good for the whole day-- it's slightly better situation even when things are broken, because normal DAILY promos linger for the rest of the week or at least a couple days, meaning there's time for Daz to fix what's broken with the deal, coupon or incorrectly labeled Editorial Licenses. But these one-shot-timed events don't leave any wiggle room for error, and clearly Daz can't reliably deliver error-free products or deals. It's frustrating, over and over again to me and other shoppers, but it is really potentially more of a problem to Daz than to me if I don't actually spend money when things don't work right. (by "me" i mean me personally, but shoppers generally as well)
How appropriate Night-Shift. Got 3 pets, a dog with an eye infection,, a two week old Gouldian (hand-feeding) and a cat with a ruptured eye needing feeding or meds every two hours. Anyhow, NIGHT-SHIFT-CATCH-UP is not working for me. I have two of the new releases but can't seem to get it to work. Sample cart attached.
Also the items are at 30% despite two in the cart. No 20% for those.
I can confirm that the coupon NIGHT-SHIFT-CATCH-UP that says it has like 54mins still to go did not work for me just now when i tested it. I placed 2 of today's new releases (the Y2k pants, AND the add-on tx for them) and the coupon code would not apply (Coupon not valid pop-up msg) and the extra 20% did not add. So, I thought maybe i also had to put 1 item from each of the 3 category bins (Current Hot picks, Recent Gems & Legacy) to make it work, so I put Monkstrap shoes from "Hot picks", Flowscape Paint 3d Scenes etc from "Recent Gems" and H&C Rash Guards from "Legacy" bins along with the 2 today's releases, and still the coupon did apply; it did not discount my new releases or change the prices correctly on my random items from the 3 categories i put in cart for test. This is the same thing that happened Friday night with the last coupon/deal time of the day when i was trying to shop, so another day I didn't buy anything. Short, 1-time, time-limited sales that are broken for their entire duration help me just wait until the items are no longer new for me to buy them at better discount during the next big seasonal sale, so maybe it is not all bad. ; ) What i lack in shopping self-discipline can be made up for by the store's error-ridden sales.
When I tried to apply WAKE-UP-AND-SAVE today, the site was returning the coupon not found error message. Do I have to buy those things separately or will the discount be applied to just those items?
The techinical issues is for problems with Daz Studio and other 3D software. Merging to this thread where you can report sales issues.
It seems MIDDAY-SHOPPING-SPREE is not working with Hot, Gems. and legacy.
UPDATE 2024-11-24 12:36 EST, the coupon code is working. Thank you web gods.
LUNCH-BREAK-TREAT is not working for me... "Coupon code is not valid..."
Yeah, I was just wondering about that in the other thread. But I believe the sale page is wrong. While it refers to Sunday New Releases it's showing me stuff that I thought was released on Friday or Saturday. And the "Final Day" graphic at the top of the page also says AFTERNOON DEAL and it should end at noon.
Indeed... It may be that... I thought they were repeating items because some items (well... at least one) were wrongly published with an editorial license... But maybe you're right... The page is wrong...
EDIT: yeah... that's it... if you add the most recent items from the shop page, the coupon works.
Reported the coupon code issue - the other, for 20% off 2+ new and one or more items from the cats at a special price, did work for me.
Thanks. What about the "Sunday New Releases" section showing stuff that was released on previous days? It's not showing stuff like:
https://www.daz3d.com/p3d-100-natural-expressions-mega-pack-for-genesis-9
https://www.daz3d.com/embroidery-shaders-merchant-resource
etc, that I thought were released today.
The midday-shopping-spree coupon doesn't work. This is the second time a coupon hasn't worked correctly in this sale. Very bush-league.
What's the point of having these sales if the coupons don't work?
I also reportd that, before even coming on to the forums. Both code and new release list are now fixed (and they checked the ones for later in the day too).
Thanks, Richard. I just popped in to say I noticed that!
I can't get the coupon to work today as well.
Thank you Richard!
Still, or did you manage to get it to work?
coupon still no working, Time to lose hope in a bug-free interface at daz. Obviously they don't want any transactions today. Oh well...
