Error on one file re photoshop

  • Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.8+ (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

Does the above error message mean I require Photoshop software to exist on my pc?

Yes. the Photoshop 3D Bridge allows DS and Photoshop to communicate directly, if you don't have Photoshop you don't need to install it.

  • If you have a suitable version of Photoshop the plugin can be used to communicate with it, if not you can still use DS but you will have to load any modified textures you make directly through the Surfaces pane and export your renders through File>Save Last Render (or the save buttns at the bottom of the render window or by rendering straight to file). Similarly if you have ZBrush you can use the GoZ plug-in to send a model there and bring it back after modification, if not you have to use File>Export to send to a modeller and Morph Loader or File>Import to bring the results back in.
