Scale figure parts X Y Z ?

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

How do you scale body parts like leg, thigh etc X Y Z  and not just scale?  is there no X Y Z scale?

    In the Parameters pane opten the option menu (lined button in the top corner or right-click on the tab) and enable Show Hidden Properties.

    Ugh!  Thanks, so simple.   Why did they keep it hidden for crying out loud?  should be default to show these settings.

    Because scaling body parts that way doesn't always look good.  Take a look at some figures from top view, the forearm is angled so if you lengthen it by scaling up the x axis you will actually destort the shape of it.
