How do I render a figure and its shadow on a transparent background?
I would like to render an image using 3Delight in which a figure and its shadow appear while the background remains transparent. I noticed that this is possible using the Iray engine; however, not all of my materials are optimized for Iray. Is there a way to do what I am trying to do using 3Delight? If not, is there another method that I am unaware of?
Here is an example of what I'm trying to do using DzFire's Cyborg4.0:
The first image is the figure over a transparent background which I have colored light grey for demonstration purposes. The second image shows what happens when I create>new primative>plane. The shadow renders and so does the plane. Is it possible to render both the figure and the shadow only (without the plane) on a transparent background?
Thank you.

You need to apply a shadow catcher shader to the plane...there are a couple of free ones on ShareCG.

Thank you! I used the first one. That'll do the trick. Thanks again.
