Just a random thought I had. If, for some reason, I won the lottery, would I be able to buy the entire DAZ store (minus the handful of joke products) at full MSRP? How much would it take? $10k? $100k? $1 million? Even more?
I don't expect to get an actual answer, since that would probably take way too much time, but I would guess under $100k.

At full price it would be a lot more than 100K. There are currently 52624 items in the store. A fair few of them will be bundles, and so are not really content on their own, but there is likely approx 50K items that can be purchased. If the buyer is not a PC+ member, then the average full price might be about 20-25 dollars, and so you would need at least a million dollars to buy the lot.
If you wait for sales, and never buy unless the discount is 70-90% then the final price could be around 200-300K.
I think the more interesting question is: what is the LEAST amount of money you could spend to get everything in the Daz store? The answer would depend on a lot of factors, from Daz+ membership to what kind of sales are going on at the time. Would the number also include buying the individual components of bundles as well as the bundles themselves? What about items that appear in more than one bundle, like Starter vs. Pro character bundles? Do you have to buy both bundles, even though the latter contains all the items of the former?
Wow, I really lowballed the total amount of products. I don't know where I got my number from, but I thought it was around a tenth of that.

I think for this you would buy the pro bundle when it's on at a good sale and then sweep up the starter and other minor bundles during one of those "pay for the cost of the items you don't own" sales. In that instance they would be free since there would be no items that were unowned inside.
I've been here since 2005 - and dropped far more money here than I should have. There are over 52,000 items in the store; I seem to have over 21,000 in my available download list. According to the Daz Deals add-on, the full price of everything I own that is still in the store is $1,362,650.00; the current value is $336,731.78. No, I haven't spent anywhere near that much.
At full MSRP? My guess is north of $3 million;; taking advantage of sales, give-aways, and other promotions - probably around $750,000.
Buying "everything" would include the Daz+ membership, so once that goes in the cart, the 30% pricing on DOs and the Daz+ pricing on Daz+ items kick in automatically. You don't need to buy the membership first, as long as it's in the cart when you checkout, it works as if you already had it.
The number is going to vary but your under $100K estimate is low, especially if you tried to buy everything at once rather than waiting for each item to go on optimum sale price. I can say this with some authority as I currently own a little over 4/5s of all the items in the store. I won't say how much I paid, but that's over 18 years, and the current estimated value of my holdings are just under US $ 2 Million according to the DAZ DEals add-on, with the estimated value at today's current sale prices being well under half that, and what I actually paid being only a fraction of that..
I believe that if you would want to buy everything, the best would be to contact daz directly and negotiate. I am sure you would get a decent discount for such a huge purchase.
I do most of my purchases at minimum 90% off, currently own around 20% of the current store listing, don't want to know how much I have spent.
It might be difficult to buy truly everything as new items are released daily. Also there are a fair number of items that no longer exist in the store, are not available for sale, etc. I expect @cybersox has a fair number of items that are not available today. Even I have at least a few items like that, and I'm in no danger of buying everything in the store.
"fair number" = Several thousand of them, actually, though quite a few have since migrated to other stores and that number is also offset by the number of items that I bought at other stores that are now in the DAZ store. .. But overall, yes, I certainly can't see much use anyone would even have today for a lot of the the really old items.

Really old items: Agreed. There are some old items I still like, though.
From a practical point of view, atleast 25% of the products are older generations and are for earlier versions of Daz Studio, that you might not have any use for.
10% are products for other software like Bryce or Carrara that you might not have or ever intend to use.
Another 15% might be Poser Products that might need adjustments, and not be of use to you.
Now the other half of the store, well it still depends on which genre, time frame, and style you usually want to render. The SKU count is approaching 100,000 and there are atleast 52,000 active products currently still active. Even the thought of buying 26,000 products sounds like a lot.
