gen 3 cloths to gen 2 female/male

Hello just asking a quick question here, does gen 3 cloths work somewhat with the gen 2 base figure/victora6? Or is it a no go? I did some research about the autofit and saw that the gen 3 bundel that came with daz iray had an autofit update is this true? if so  is it possible for some gen 3 cloths to fit with gen 2 female even if it has to be adjusted a little.

The clones included with the Starter Essentials are all for backward- and cross-compatiblity - G3F has G2F and G3M clones, for example. If you want to put G3F clothes on G2F you need http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-female-for-genesis-2-female-s (or to make your own clone shape) and similarly http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-3-male-for-genesis-2-male-s for the males.
