I Would Like To Have A Bookstore

I have seen a few libraries on DAZ, but I have yet to find a bookstore. Bookstores can be very useful settings- a place of employment, a meeting place, or even a place where an author can do a booksigning, which is my immediae need. I don't need to have every book as a seperate prop, though a few that could be used as a store promotional display (stacked on a table), along with one that could be opened so the author could sign it would be nice. Whether it's the big box kind of store or a smaller shop, it's a setting that could be useful.

    There's this older one: https://www.daz3d.com/le-village-book-store

There's a low-res one in this set of mine: https://www.daz3d.com/the-old-shopping-arcade

Or this newer one over at Rendo: https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/163331/modular-mall-4-bookshop-for-daz

Edit: Or kitbash a counter and cash-register into a library set.

There is one at Renderosity called "Bookshop" instead of book store. It is more the smaller mall type comppared to a big box version.

Thanks for these suggestions!  As I would like to make an interior scene, the one on Renderosity seems closer to what I have in mind, and I might have to use that one.

I had been thinking that if it's going to be a larger type of store, it might as well be one of the "big box" types (possibly witth a cafe inside). The suggestion of kitbashing a cash register into a library has possibility as well. I would still prefer a ready-made scene that's up to date.

I followed the Rendo link and looked at BlueTreeStudio's series. The mall looks like one at DAZ, but the stores were like taking a step back in time to the 80s/90s. There was a thread in the Commons where someone was putting a full mall set of store fronts together in the DAZ mall from bits and pieces they had picked up. Fascinating.

I always thought it would be wonderful to have a linked bakery/coffee/tea shop with a book shop set in an old building. I used to visit a book shop in Ipswich, East Anglia that was in a very old building where there were nooks and crannies, shelving on stairs, and fireplaces and stuffed animals, pillows in odd corners for children to curl up with a book or an overstuffed couch or chair for big people. And doorways where you had to duck under or bruise your head. And people to wrap up your purchases with a smile and a comment at the end of a four-hour visit. A place to dream of unicorns, knights, or space wars in the stars.

@gfdamron1 I wish you well on your journey on creating your book store.
