Daz - DIM - Installation failure

I was on vacation for a week, and when I returned, my PostgreSQL connection failed when I loaded Daz. In the past, I would just go into the DIM, uninstall it, and then reinstall it. However, I could not uninstall the PostgreSQL. DIM then reloaded, and it was as if all my files were uninstalled. DazStudio was no longer installed and my content was no longer installed. I worked on it for hours, then completely wiped everything and started from scratch (DIM, DazStudio, etc). However, DazStudio would not reinstall, and each time the DIM refreshed after "install" the content was uninstalled again. I did a manual Daz download, and things seemed to start installing normally again, but then when I went to load DazStudio, I got the PostgreSQL connection message again. Now I'm back at square 1 with DIM showing nothing is installed.

I filed a technical support ticket nearly a week ago, and it has been crickets.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if so, how was it resolved?

No, this is hte first time I've heard of this issue I believe. What AV and/or malware blocker are you running? Have you tried scanning your HDD/SSD for errors or checking your OS for errors? It could also possible be an issue with your manifest. Where is your manifest folder located? Is there anything in it when you go to it? It could possibly be corrupted as well.

I run iolo System Mechanic on both my systems. I've scanned the drive and OS for errors. I just looked in my internal (where Daz is installed) and external (where content is downloaded) HD folders; the manifest folder is nowhere to be found.

I can try completely wiping Daz from the computer again, but I have already done that once, and that's when it started uninstalling the files I tried to install.

Where is the manifest folder pointing to in DIM?

So at first I thought it worked as the manifest was in a totally different desination. However, once I corrected it, Daz did install, and will load, but I'm back to the same PostgreSQL problem. It "installs" but then I get the error when loading Daz, and this is what I see in the DIM.

If you check Task Manager, with More Details on, can you see about half-a-dozen postresql Background processes listed. If so it may be that security software is blocking communication (they talk using Internet Protocol, on the local machine) or there may be an issue with the database files (in the Content Cluster folder) or with permissions on the Content Cluster folder itself (in which case specifiying a new location would be a test). Also, make sure you are not closing DIM and immediately launching DS (or vice versa)

No dice. It's back Daz not being able to be installed again. I'm just frustrated that I filed a support ticket over a week ago, and there has been no response. I guess I'm just going to have to completely wipe my whole computer.
