Victoria 4 Base Model

Is there a Victoria 4 base model? I see all sorts of accessories, including the Victoria 4.2 Base Model, that claim to be compatible with Victoria 4, but I can't find her anywhere. She's not even included in the Victoria 4 3D Pro Suite.

Thanks

Brian

Victoria 4 had some issues that that needed fixing not long after her release thus the 4.2 numbering that replaced 4.

  • Victoria 4.2 is the Victoria 4 base model. The 4.2 is just an updated version of Victoria 4.

It's not really that she had issues, but DAZ decided to make technical changes on the way morphs were handled so that they could add morphs packs more easily. They also added an "Eyebrow" bodypart with V4.1.

Anyway, the current version of Victoria 4 is V4.2.

Thanks. Can you tell me why I have trouble applying peices of Wardrobe and other accessories, that are supposed to be compatible with Victoria 4? Also, when I load victoria 4.2 into a new scene I get a message about the Node Weight Map not being able to be used to modify the figure. to use the brish I need to convert the figure.

I appreciate any help as I have not yet heard back from tech Support.

    Thanks

Victoria 4.2 is not a weight-mapped figure, it uses the old Poser parametric rigging.

What clothing and what difficulties are you having?

    Leg Warmer Boots, for one.

    Fortune Teller Accessories.

For the boots, there is probably a foot pose that you will need to apply to the feet, boots or both.

What are the problems with the Fortune Tellers Accessories?  Be specific or include screenshots...

Thank you, I appreciate your taking the time with this. Neither the boots (with their foot pose) or the Fortune Teller products appear in the Smart Content pane in Daz Studio, with the figure selected in the Scene Pane. They also don't appear in the Victoria 4 folder when I navigte throught the "my Daz 3D Library" in the Content Library Pane. These things DO appear in the Smart Content Pane, when the figure is NOT selected in the Scene Pane.

One of the problems with Smart Content and older content (any V4 is definitely 'Older content') is that it all came out long before Smart Content was added to Studio.  This means, for the most part, it doesn't show up in Smart Content (slowly that is being corrected as various things are updated...I remember seeing something about the goal being everything will eventually be there).

For a lot of V4 content you need to use the Content Library NOT Smart Content...some will be in the Daz format section, but the bulk of it will be in the Poser format section...and in what may be 'odd' places...materials in the Pose folder, clothes in the Figures and so on.

    This explains a lot. Thanks!
