Zeroing a prop that is rotated by default. I don't even know how to say it!

Hi there!

This revolver is zeroed It's made to fit in g8 Hand. Is there a way to simply alginate it on XYZ axis?

In these cases, there's usually two props (?):

One that is zeroed - almost always in props in Content library

One that is "posed" to fit in a character's hand - sometimes these are in Poses, or even Wearables (in Content library)

You can zero (realign) a posed prop but, if I remember right, only by rotating it with the gizmo (not using parameters... well, not "simply" using parameters)

The point that interests me is learning how to do it.

Assuming it is a static prop (no moving parts) you would need to manually adjust it to be aligned with the world axes, then export as OBJ and reimport (using the same preset in the options dialogue) to bake the adjustments in.

If you are looking for a quick and temporary solution: create a Null (name it if you like), move the Null to the prop (where you want the center of the rotation axis) and parent the prop to thie Null.
Now you can rotate the Null instead of the prop and the prop will follow.
As far as I know this Null and prop can even be saved as a scene subset and loaded into other scenes if needed. But its always a awkful makeshift and not a real solution for the underlying problem.
