Fit Genesis 1 to Genesis 2 not working properly

I would like to use some gloves from genesis 1 with genesis 2. My approach is to select "fit" for the gloves and as target the genesis 2 figure. Auto fit allows then to select conversion options where I use genesis as source figure. At first glance it works and the fingers close up looks like this:

Four of the five fingers work properly but one of the fingers will create this effect when moved away:

It looks like one point is connected to somewhere as it gets longer the future away its moved from the other finger. Is there any other way to convert clothes from genesis 1 to 2 or a fix for this?

  • That looks as if the edge of the glove was just too far away to receive the projected weight map from the finger, possibly because its position was ambiguous as to which finger was nearest. That should be fixable using the Node Weight Map brush. Which gloves are they? If I have them I can try doing a test, and then posting a walk-through.

Ok thank you for the help and offer. I was able to fix it with the node weight map brush hint. The poking triangle wasn't fully colored for its finger and when selecting the other finger it had some color so I used to Smooth Brush to color them correctly and the triangle jumped back at one point. This is the result:

  • Yes, the Smooth Brush is a simpler fix than what I was going to suggest - so just as well I didn't try providing a walk-through on using a sledgehammer to crack a nut :)
