Edit: Solution is to use Daz 4.22 at least.
Original problem:
Hello,
I'm speaking about this product, Arcane VFX, by @KindredArts.
If it's useful, I did my test on Daz 4.21.0.5 on my Mac, so everything is done with the CPU.
I loaded the various VDBs props, who are supposed to be on fire, but I'm likely missing something because instead of a cool looking fire portal, I have a brown sand storm:
I tried to play with the various settings, but at best, I was able to change the color of the smoke but I was not able to get the fire effect at the base of the portal

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you might have to update. The newest version is 4.22.0.16 and they should be a-ok in there. I've just double checked on a clean install and it's running.
Try updating your Default Resources. VDB emission was a more recent addition.
If you are using too old a version of Daz Studio, and are reluctant to update, you could use the Beta (free from the store) alongside your current, older, geeeral release.
I started a render but life happened so I had to stop it prematurely but here is the center of that portal
If only "compatible software" listed the minimum required version of DS for that particular product, rather than the current version.
Thank you all for your answers
Oh, don't be, it's actually a good new: I have the beta alongside the 4.21 version, and using it, the fire portal was indeed on fire.
