Creating "anatomical bits"
I want to create different gens for V7. After realizing the base mesh has too few polys, and that I can't change the geometry of a DAZ model in zbrush without breaking the figure, I'm stuck. I've seen how others get detail with normal maps but that wouldn't apply here since I actually need to change the geometry. Aside from parenting a sculpted prop to my character (I hope there's another way), does anyone have any suggestions?

Wow, that works GREAT! I was beginning to think I couldn't do Hi-Res sculpting for daz, but this is exactly what I've been searching for the past couple of days. Everything is importing with great detail, posing great, and shader preset copying works great too. I notice that my main character reverts to base resolution after I add the geograft, not really a problem and probably a case of me wanting to have my cake and eat it too, but is there a way to have V7 use subD and still match up to the face loops? Seriously though THANKS!!!
Thanks MJC1016!
I think I remember part of a discussion from way back when geografting was first introduced as something us users get to play with; apparently the whole process should be done with the original mesh at base resolution, and don't try applying SubD until you've got to the point where you're testing the geograft to make sure it fits properly.
