4.22 slow to load and render?

Anyone else experiencing painfully slow loading and render times, as well as very degraded renders that seem to be incomplete? I have gone from very acceptable renders in three minutes to seven minute renders that are unuseable. My assets reside on a WD external drive, but the drive seems to be functioning normally. Anyone else? Any known fixes?

Compared with? Is your driver new enough for the version of Iray in 4.22? It sounds as if you are getting CPU-only renders, and they are stopping for max time (default two hours) rather than convergence.

Compared with the day before everything went [bad] for no apparent reason. I have the latest available NVIDIA studio driver, have done health scans on both my drives (local and external). I never wait for convergence anyway, as my single character photo shoot renders were fine in at as little as 180 seconds, sometimes 300 if needed. So I'm mystified. Below is an example of the sort of raw render I used to normally get in as little as 180 seconds.

    What is your GPU?

It's just a DForce GTX 1050, and I know it's been dropping to CPU, which has been fine for my needs for several years. I'm actually wondering if this might be related to a recent update to Windows 11.

2GB of memory according to nVidia, so that really isn't going to do much in recent versions of Iray.

The machine has 8GB of RAM, and it worked fine up until 4.22 a few days ago.

The GTX 1050 GPU has 2GB according to nVidia, and 8GB os system RAM would be limiting.

I've put in a ticket to try to revert to a previous version of Studio to restore the functionality I had mere days ago. It's not practical to buy a new computer just to accommodate this software.
