help to new gpu or not

Hey hey :)

Have been used Daz a half year now. and im getting the hang of it :)

Now i just want my render to be tuned up abit...

Atm iray only runs on my cpu when i render... I7 4790k. And leave my Gpu alone.. msi GTX 960

Photoreal Devices is bouth cpu and gpu. And OptiX Prime is bouth as well.

 

Here the big question... will i get any better experinces by buying a NVIDIA Quadro K4000 and render on that.? or will it be waist of money when its only to rendering in Daz3d and photoshop?

    Hi Athara

    It will be a big improvement on your 960, but comparing the K4000 to a 970, its a very expensive way to go.

    I'd recommend an nVidia 970 instead.

    Does Iray only run on CPU because you have large, complex scenes?

    In that case the 4GB on a 970 may not be enough you may have to look to cards with more memory.

    Prixat@ Runs rendering at Full HD 1080p... if i render a clean model, its only takes 56 sec. but when i adding light, and using Scene, it can take up around 15 to 30 min to render... thats the time i like to kill. and hoped the K4000 will do the job :)

    And feel sorry for my cpu it has to do all the work wink

    No mather what i render its only runs on my cpu... have taken time on it.. and the image is the same if i remove my gpu.. and only runs on the cpu
