Bot Genesis, problems changing shaders

Specifically, if I try to convert, say, Bot Torso materials to UberShader or Simple Shader (or PWToon, which is what I started wanting to do), the item goes invisible.

I never tried this prior to 4.8, so I have no idea if it's a recent bug or not.

Any tips?

Check the Opacity...for some things I've noticed it drops to 0%.

Duh. I thought I checked that... DUH

(Actually it was setting Opacity to -100%)

    Setting Opacity to -100%?

    That's really odd.

I've seen it before with other stuff. I don't know if there is a pattern to it, but if you glance and see '100' you can get fooled if you don't look closely. ;)

It often happens when the surface has a custom Shader Mixer shader applied.  Out of Touch's fiends have a custom shader for the face, when I change it to AoA's SSS shader I get the -100% opacity.
