4.22 behaving strange

Hello,

So with the upcoming release of 4.23 and to take advantage of the Omni hair system, I upgraded from 4.21 to 4.22 .

All went well for the first render, then on the second there was alot of noise and my CPU jumped  to 100% while the

GPU didn't register.

I downloaded the latest driver and re started Daz which worked fine for the first render then didn't on the second,

cleared the scene then  re started Daz after checking my GPU health, works fine now but I don't want to keep doing this every time.

any suggestions?

Thanks

It sounds as if the GPU is running out of memory near or at the end of the first render or near or at the beginning of the second, so the second is done by the CPU (which takes far longer to clear the noise, and may not complete in the available time - two hours, by default). Once memory has ruin out a restart is needed.

    Hi,

I'm running a 3090 with 24g of VRam in a simple cafe scene that ony has two characters, never happened before in enclosed spaces, I read about you giving advice on disabling CPU fall back  though, which I did and it seems to be working now ( 90% in 43 min), I guess the 24g of Vram wasn't enough so it was falling back to my 64g of on board RAM.

    Thanks
