Character Converter G9 questions

Sphinx MagooSphinx Magoo Posts: 586

I tried searching to see if my question had been answered already, so please excuse me for my lousy seach skills...

Is it possible to use Character Converter G9 (https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-character-and-material-conversion-genesis-8-to-genesis-9-bundle) to make sliders instead of a full new converted character? I was hoping to use more toony characters (like 3D Universe's products) on G9, but there's no way to dial back the morphs.

I've tried reading through the manual, but can't seem to find it. Am I being blind?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thread moved as it wasn't a Daz Studio related question

The ManFriday character converter creates a Head slider and a Body slider. You may prefer that product.

Not sure why this would be moved to Product Suggestions since this is a product for DAZ Studio. Maybe you could offer a reason...? Not trying to be sassy; I just don't understand. My coffee hasn't hit my brain yet...

That sounds cool. Might you have a link?

I really second the suggestion from barbult... here's the product: https://www.daz3d.com/figure-converter-for-genesis-9

I ever tested a lot ~~ In quite a lot of cases, especially when converting stylized characters... some unique characters, Manfriday's script did really good work while the another gave me awful results...

But a Reminder:  no matter you use which... if you want to convert toony characters (as you said like the ones made by 3D Universe) , you'll face a quite a few issues related to rigging and morphing (on eyes, mouth, teeth, tears, expressions, corrective morphs....), which means that'll require more knowledge and skills as well as toolsets for fixing them. In some cases, that'll be somewhat challenging...

It needed to be in Techncial Help, since it is a question about an existing product (for Daz Studio) rather than about Daz Studio per se.

Yeah, sorry about that. I was misreading the post and thought you were asking for the feature instead. Sorry for the inconvenience.
