  • Greetings, DAZites!

I've been outta the 3D loop for a while now for various reasons. [Two of those reasons: (i) Poser inexplicably stopped working on my PC almost 18 months ago and no amount of re-installation or "fixes" have made a durn difference. (SmithMicro's support in these matters isn't something you can really depend on.) (ii) All my efforts to learn Studio have failed miserably. I don't get why, but it's the only software I've encountered that's not been intuitive for me (and I've played with everything from Blender to Vue to Bryce without any problems).

I've been hoping to get back into the groove sometime this year, if other factors in my life level out. Probably buy the latest version of Poser.  :)  Unfortunately, I've been giving less and less attention to the community outside of an occasional peek into the stores. And definitely less and less peeks here, as DAZ seems to have become all Studio, all Genesis, all the time.  :)  No offense taken. I wouldn't expect them to still be pushing Victoria 4 at this point.

Needless to say, I've never been able to use Genesis because of its incompatibility with Poser (never really tried DSON though I downloaded the app). But I LOVED the idea of Genesis and was a little disappointed I couldn't use it. Now, I get a nice DAZ alert about this MCS character(s). But from what I'm reading they seem to work in everything EXCEPT Poser. Am I right? When I return to the fold, will I still be left in the cold? (Yeah, I'm a poet. And know it.) (OH! I did it again ... my friend.) (Somebody stop me!)

So, there are two big questions: Am I right? MCS does not work in Poser? And two: If anyone out there won the big Powerball, let's get married, huh? Right now. Seriously. I don't even need to pack. We can just go. Just go. Right now.

  • Those MCS figures over at Morph3D are targeted at game developers and the Unity game engine.

  • Merged threads - if you want to move a thread, you should be able to do it by editing the first post and changing the Category (= forum) from the drop-down list.

  • That actually makes a lot of sense, Widdershins. Thank you.

And you too, Richard. Hope things have been well with you.
